Went to a panel on poetry this afternoon that was very well run and well attended as well. I suspect there were over 200 there, including my prof and a friend of mine. My prof I expected. The panel was Stan Banks, Ted Kooser and John Mark Eberhart. I need to get some of my hockey poems to Mr. Eberhart.
In a few minutes I'll go to hear U.S. poet laureate Ted Kooser give a reading. I'm excited!

From what I gather there was some s*** in the air of the Bitterroots. Sunshiny and colorful here.
Went to Slam last night. Was nervous for some reason. I really prefered the Gypsy Cafe in Tulsa to reading at a university. This was a 'mixed' event, poetically, that is. Which is okay, but not as well run as the Slam at Living Arts or as vibrant as the crowd at the Gypsy. Tulsans 'let their hair down' more.
Ted Kooser, poet laureate, is in town today. I'm looking forward to that.
