Shhh...I hear them.

Be very quiet. I'm trying to hide here in my fortress of solitude. Zoo sleeps and I play on the computer. In the last 5 weeks, I haven't had any alone time. There is somebody with me all the freaking time. I'm alone about 45 mins, 5 times a week. Sometimes less.

So I sit here all quiet so I don't disturb my Zoo or somehow alert the kids that somebody stirs in our room. I type with the utmost of featheriness. I know the kids lurk outside our bedroom door just waiting to hear one of us turn over or mumble something. If they hear anything...they take it as a green light and knock.

The computer chair is really squeaky and I mustn't move an inch. The will hear. They will know.

How come Zoo only grinds his teeth when I'm trying to sleep? I've been up for 2 hours and not once has he grinded.

I hear the kids. Kids are loud. They aren't yelling or even talking but I hear them, awake and functioning. I should go greet them good morning but I can't! I need a few more minutes.

DAMN! They heard the chair. I gotta go.
