What’s In A Name

I have given a name to a lot of strange things in my life. Some of those things existed, some did not exist and some I am still not sure whether they were real or not, but that is another story. Let us start at the beginning or at least as close to the beginning as I can remember. The first odd creature I ever gave a name to was my Closet Monster. His name was Rufus. Rufus was, and probably still, is a good closet monster, but he did not like the closet door to be shut. He always wanted the closet door open, which probably explains why I do not like to close my closet door today.

Then as I grew older there was Old Suzy and New Suzy. Old Suzy and New Suzy were twins (in fact I always wanted to be a twin, but that is another story also). Old Suzy was the persona I blamed for every bad thing I did. Whatever I did that would get me in trouble was always the fault of Old Suzy. In fact my response to the question “Why did you do that?” was “Old Suzy made me do it!” New Suzy on the other hand was the persona that caused/made me do the stuff I should.

When I read this piece through, I easily realized how much thought went into this. Your insight of the times through the use of the alphabet was so neat and enjoyable to read.
