Publishing Travels

Another step forward

I should be getting a reply from Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine any time now. The time frame given was three months, which has nearly passed.

Then today I pulled myself out of my bed, but not just to the recliner. I set my hair, put on makeup, dressed in my best, and forced myself to go the Authors' Reception this afternoon. At the signing (Jacque Graham attended with me, one of the poets in Walking the Earth), not many books sold, and the three that did were copies of the poetry book. However, Bob Burk will be reviewing both books in the newspaper. Also, a publisher is interested in Louie the Duck. Soooo, maybe, just maybe forcing myself to go was a good thing.

Of course I'm coughing my head off again, but maybe it will be worth it.
