Frozen here. Links to Sweden.
Winter: 11 Mulk (February 17)

morning, 17 degrees. -22 (yes, minus) in Missoula, MT.

If I end up in Montana, I'd better love it! Minus 22 I do not like. They may get above Zero by Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. May even get above freezing by Thursday. Cold in Tulsa, 23. -27 in Bismarck, North Dakota. That's colder than I have ever felt. Guess that arctic air that froze Moscow has moved our way?

Would check out temps in Sweden, but I don't think the list at Yahoo weather includes any cities from Småland. Växjö has an airport, so you'd think I could find out!

Wikipedia has a good article on Småland, but the link doesn't work. *Frown*

AL mentioned that Hässleby was named after the hazel nut. This is from a website for Hässleby SOK. SOK = Orienteering Club; hasselnötter = hazelnut.

I HSOK:s klubbmärke märks hasselnötter och hängen då namnet Hässleby kommer från de hasselträd och dungar som tidigare fanns vid kyrkan.
