Posting Pictures Exercise
Here's the outside of the Union Station in Indianapolis, Indiana, built in 1881. It is the oldest Union Station still in operation.
This is the interior of the station. Picture rows and rows of wooden slat benches, full of weary travelers and soldiers off to war. Picture my grandfather leaving for Washington state in 1910, and
my grandmother afraid to have him go. I wonder if she drove him to the station? In what? I think they may have had a car by then.
This is the window at the end of the station that didn't show up in detail in the above picture. Doesn't it look sort of Frank Lloyd Wright?
Here's a statue of a typical passenger standing alongside one of twelve train cars in the hotel that now provide 26 rooms people can stay in.
If I could figure out how to print next to these pictures, or to move the pictures around, I'd do it. That must be my next lesson, after some help.
