I entered the "Invalid Item"  for Environment or Nature Merit Badge. One of the choices of the two requirements was to write a letter about some environment issue with solution, etc.

I wrote "Litter Letter to Editor"  and submitted it to The Oklahoman. Today, my letter was the first one, at the top of the editorial page, published. The online link is http://www.newsok.com/article/2776599/ .

It's one step in the right direction.
