The Price

Eyes of fire are now of ice,
You never thought there'd be such a price.
Sparks of rampant hatred fly,
A vague smile is all you spy.

They now are mean who once were nice,
You never dreamed there'd be such a price.
Upon their faces plays a madness,
As you wallow deep in sadness.

As lonely days slowly melt away,
You never though of the price you'd pay.
Harsh words whispered in the dark,
All you want is one friendly spark.

No, you never thought twice,
You never thought there'd be such a price.
But there is a way,
To have that sin washed away.

He died a long time ago,
His love for you just to show.
But that's not all He did, my friend,
On the third day He rose again.

To show all, including you,
That His love for you is genuine and true.
So, believe and accept Him today,
He is the only way.

Jesus Christ loves you,
