Prologue
Prologue to Vasilia Castle
The Sun Began to set over the horizon as dusk began to rise. Dawn was approaching at an incredible haste without pause. The undead would soon arrive. The Outer Layer of the wall began to turn gray as the moon was showing through the cryptic clouds. The breath of every soldier was unheard. No man would dare speak at the time of now. Screeches rained through the city as men jumped in surprise from the sound. The undead began to aspire from the ground.
A necromancer was chanting words while holding a meditative state. The necromancer was known as Sharn. So then it seemed he was the one trying to destroy the castle, except he would have to fight for this prize. The front gates were erected 6 feet off the ground so warriors could prevent any undead from entering, as well to prevent gunpowder explosions. Luckily, castle siege prevented any of Sharn's undead from getting to close, but this wouldn’t last long as a new attack was being prepared.
Dragon Knights quickly flew from their position on the mountain behind the castle, preparing for any sky attacks. Dragon Knights were unprepared for the large assault of rock throwing creatures that sat upon mountains. These rock creatures could throw rocks twice the size of them with speed and power. Dragon Knights were quickly being pinned down, due to the fact if they attacked a rock would crush them. Castle archers were having great success in keeping the undead away.
The war seemed to be going well for the Vasilia Castle, until strident cries pierced the ears of men. Gigantic beasts rushed towards the castle, ignoring the arrows in which were penetrating their body. They quickly smashed through the men guarding the castle doors, going into a rage of fury. Once the castle was infiltrated Sharn sent hundred’s of undead to carry a large object in. This object was the size of a baby dragon, which was quite big, andhad goneuntested. Sharn had devised a weapon to destroy the castle, but he knew not of the true outcome.
Men gasped in surprise as the large weapon rolled into the castle. A black creature carrying a torch lit a large rope that seemed to spread faster and faster along its length, until it touched the large object. Sound was obliterated as was the bodies of all living things, as a new era was begun.
