Yeah, I know, that's pretty cheap for cigarettes these days. But that's all I'm gonna say about the whole quit thing in this entry, after writing that it's now 7 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes since my last cigarette, which means I haven't spent $24.72 on cigarettes, but then I've spent 29.92 on patches. Oh well, I'll break even and get ahead sooner or later. OH, and one more thing...that thing I said in an earlier entry about having more energy...(I'm finishing this sentence several days after posting this entry--it's that CRS) that "more energy" hasn't really happened yet. As a matter of fact, if anything, I've slept more. Part of the plaintive "why can't I just go to sleep and wake up unaddicted" from when I started. But that's why I picked this time to quit...because I knew there would be substantially fewer demands on my time and energy, and I'd be able to do whatever I needed to do (or not do) to keep quitting. My younger son called earlier this afternoon, and we're expecting him in any minute now, from TN. I'd rather find out that he's coming at the last minute than find out he's not coming. He'll be here till Friday. And classes start Monday. Life is exciting. Kinda looking forward to surprising a few people. J.H. Larrew ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
