16 Kamal 163 B.E. - August 16, 2006 A.D. Sign on the board in the school multipurpose room where the primary election polls were for three precincts: (1) Use inside voices; (2) Remain in your seats, (3) Clean your area; and (4) Food stays inside. The multipurpose room is where the student's eat lunch. There were other signs there, but these particular signs are probably the most fun to meditate upon. OK, so it was rather slow and you had time to consider all sorts of different angles and other meanings signs like this could refer indicate. Use inside voices Now we can presume it means speaking voices used inside a building rather the louder shouting used outside. However, inside voice could just as easily mean the voices inside your head. You know the one's I'm talking about, those little voices our inner critic or our inner anti-critic uses when speaking to us. The voices that say "Look, Stupid, you can't do this." or "Nobody wants to hear your opinion." or "Go ahead and try for the gold, you can do!" or "If you don't aim for the stars, you're never going to hit anything." The voices of discouragement and encouragement are both in our heads, its just that we have to learn which on is better to listen to, especially when thing aren't going so well. Food stays inside Food stays inside what, the building or one's stomach? If food goes outside of either we usually have a mess to clean up. Although if I'm given a choice of messes, I'd rather clean up food wrapper and garbage outside a building, then clean up food that doesn't stay inside ones stomach. You see the problem is that I get sick whenever I have to clean up after anybody who vomits. I throw up in sympathy, which I suppose is OK if I'm cleaning up after somebody else, but if I'm the one I'm cleaning up after then I just get the dry heaves. I hate the dry heaves, I'd rather have something in my stomach to throw up. If I throw up something, I don't feel as bad as when I have the dry heaves. Clean your area I'm not sure we adults have learned this one. I know if you look at my yard there would be a question whether I'd learned to clean up my area or not. The yard will be taken care of after the September 1, the guy who used to do the yard is back in town and now I have somebody, I know does a good job to do the work. Let's not even get into way the streets look, I mean there is trash in the gutters and scattered across the highway is terrible. I really think we adults need to learn to clean up are areas. Which remind me, I need to clean my car out. Remain in your seats Remain in your seats ... I'm at a loss to write anything about this right now, there for I will remain in my seat until I post this. |
