Tis The Journey
'Tis the Journey
Meander through Connemara pastures,
Searching for the rainbow's gold;
Stop to court a fetching heifer,
St. Patrick's Day, I'm feeling bold!
'Tis for this saint, a mountain's named,
Croagh Patrick lies off to the west;
Chasing snakes out of Ireland,
Lift your Guinness to Pat, he was the best!
Distracted by bewitching herd,
No earthly gold for me this day;
Tell a story, write a poem,
With charming cows, I share some hay!
What would I do with riches and gold?
Buy hay perhaps and a barn so fine?
Well, since you ask, I have to tell you
HDTV would soon be mine!
To watch the channels all day long,
Animal Planet would suit me to a "T"
California Cow Commercials
Hubba Hubba, that pleases me!
And so, "Hooves," you ask, "What is the point?"
'Tis not the ending so I'm told,
How you journey is the thing that matters,
Not getting to the pot of gold!
