Catching Idle Butterflies

Just being typical me.

I oopsied.

A few months ago, I mentioned how I was invited to teach an online AutoCAD course through AUGI (Autodesk User's Group International). I decided to give it a shot, and the course I decided upon is due to start October 9th. They said I needed to have my course material, three segments worth two weeks prior to the start of the class. I misunderstood and thought I needed only the first segment done within that time.

Two days ago, I received an email stating I had until today to get them all done.

Oops. So I worked all last night after work, completing the last segments at 11:00pm. Talk about waiting unitl the last minute!! Funny when I get in a groove like that, it's hard to stop. I wasn't remotely tired, spending the next hour catching up on blogs. Even at midnight I wasn't tired, but I tried to sleep anyway. An hour later I finally crashed. Boy am I paying for it this morning! Thank God for coffee, though! It's now starting to kick in!

With that out of the way, I'm hoping I can now concentrate on other things I promised others I would get done now a week ago. Talk about an oops! I dispise making promises and not able to keep them. Do you think I'll ever learn? At this rate, nope.

zwisis gives sage advice to newbies that even oldbies like me will find more than useful in getting the most out of WdC. Sometimes I get comfortable in my little corner of this place and miss out on other great things this site offers.
