9 Qawl 163 B.E. – December 1, 2006 Before going to bed I on November 30, 2006, I decided to check one of my Yahoo groups. I’m beginning to think I shouldn’t check my e-mail or my groups at night, because I always find something I have to write about before I go to bed. Anyway, one of the members of the Yahoo Journal Writing group was listening to Amy Grant’s “My Grown Up Christmas List” and suggest that it might be fun to read what everyone’s “Grown Up Christmas List” would be. So, even though I don’t celebrate Christmas, I decided to join in on the fun and write my list. A digital camera Enough money to pay off all my mother’s debts and my debts The ability to hire a chauffer and limo to take my mother wherever she wants to go The Stone Pine trees, the sick looking Olive tree and the dying elm tree removed from my front yard A new driveway My mother’s bathroom and shower retiled A new 2007 lavender Hummer A lap top computer The oleanders removed from around my house My yard desert landscaped A ride in a hot air balloon An Alaskan cruise for my mother and me A year to travel around the world and visit every Baha’i temple Enough money to pay for pilgrimage A home office build especially for my needs |
