My First Time

Maybe this is the problem with the universe -
Young or old, rich or poor, human or alien -

First time experiences are supposed to be sweeter and more erotic.
In fact, my first experiences were scarier and more stomach churning!
Remembering my first roller coaster ride
Sends spiders crawling up my spine and
Turns my stomach into a butterfly nursery.

Then I get onto a roller coaster again
It isn’t the same as the first time, there is something different less terrifying;
Maybe I’ve conquered the fear or perhaps it takes more to frighten me
Each time I attempt to recapture the experience, it’s never the same as …
