A symbol signifying both physical and spiritual (eternal) life;
An emblem of the two aspects of physical existence:
the loop is the feminine facet … the womb
the elongated portion the masculine feature … the penis.

Without the duality of male and female;
of egg and sperm;
of yin and yang
the human soul wouldn’t have an entrance into the material world.

The soul is more than just a double helix:
yet without the sperm to penetrate the egg
and create a vessel for the soul
where or what would the individual spirit be?
