March 10th Prompt: Vacation gone awry

Weekend getaway

I’ll tell you all that happened
On our weekend getaway
The hotel was no longer open
And we had no place to stay
So we headed down the road
Searching along the coast
The next motel we came to
Bragged about their ghost
We decided we would chance it
Considered ourselves brave
As we entered through the door
The owner gave a wave
He had a ghastly pallor
His face was rather plump
We took one look around
And noticed quite a dump
Our room was very musty
The bed it made a creak
That evening it started raining
And our ceiling sprung a leak
It was then we both decided
We didn’t need all the stress
Happily we headed home
For some much needed rest!
