Just for a moment

Come and sit a spell;
waste away the day

One can never tell
What may come our way

Gaze at flowers as they grow
Enjoys life’s simple pleasures

The day is over before you know
So hold onto nature’s treasures

Observe your children as they play
True reapers of simplicity

No frazzled worries do they convey
They harness true authenticity

Share merriment with an old friend
And talk of nothing harried

Pocket this memory until the end
Tis friendship you’ll have carried

It all comes down to the little things
The days when you say remember when?

Who can truly say what the future brings
Enjoy every moment until then
