March 22nd Prompt: Future or fantasy

The Ride

Lets hop into my magnificent sweeper
And take it for a ride
I know its not the modern model
With no doors on every side

The seats are kind of shabby and cheap
And faux fur is on the wheels
There’s twisted chrome as makeshift fenders
But don’t you love how it feels?

Soon I’ll cover the shoddy paint job
With an airbrushed red hue
Or would that be much too pretentious,
And paint it darkish blue?

I could even add some decked out wheels
With shiny little dots
And as I glide past the residents
They’ll see circular spots

We’ll give an ecstatic wave to all
Especially the flancloneter
And shoot out into the open space
Nothing could be sweeter.
