This is my book of poetry that I hope to eventually publish with photos. |
I lay surrounded by a ring of people, Their bodies pressed close, their eyes staring. I lay surrounded by a ring of people dressed in white, I let out a scream and they smile, caring. I sit surrounded by a ring of fairies, They flutter and flit, flying about my head. I sit surrounded by a ring of fairies of all colors, I talk with them, smile at them, they are my friends. I stagger surrounded by a ring of clouds, It blocks my view and steals my breath. I stagger surrounded by a ring of clouds dark as death, I can’t see what the future holds for me. I stand with a ring surrounding my finger, He stares into my eyes and I know he loves me. I stand with a ring surrounding my finger, golden, I stare into his eyes and I know I’ll love him forever. I rock surrounded by a ring of little ones, I sing and tell stories and smile at them. I rock surrounded by a ring of little ones, mine, And I’m so happy to have them. I lay surrounded by a ring of people, They stare down at me, their bodies blurry, I lay surrounded by a ring of people garbed in black, And I know that the rings of life are over. |
