Raising the Curtain

It has been slow today, waiting for the closing I've been working dilligently on to be completed. There has been a lot of down time between phone calls and emails. I've felt very productive, working on several smaller pieces, even adding a completely new story with uncharacteristicly light subject matter. Most importantly I edited some of my book and released the pieces from the "keep private" domain. I do this with a heavy anxiety. These pieces are so raw, so "unwritten", that the nervousness with which I put them out into the world, is of a whole new breed. I anticipate they will envoke reactions, possibly unpleasant ones from those closest to me but they come without apologies, without compromise. They come because they have to. One day, hopefully soon, this work will be finished and I will feel totally free, totally "recovered".
