This is my book of poetry that I hope to eventually publish with photos. |
In the corner, attempting to hide, I see you. On the stage and screen, full of pride, I see you. In the land that attempts to crush your spirit, I see you. In the land so free that some people fear it, I see you. In the shadows under great trees, I see you. In the cells issuing endless pleas, I see you. Laughing and loving with relish and delight, I see you. Weeping, depressed and alone in the night, I see you. Driving through a dense and endless haze, I see you. Sitting in bright sunlight during summer days, I see you. Feeling worthless and invisible, ugly and lost, I see you. Feeling joy and gladness, living despite the cost, I see you. Praying, seeking, praising My Name, I see you. Cursing, ignoring, forsaking Me for fame, I see you. I cry when you cry, I smile when you smile, I love you. I died for you, I chose you, even now, I love you. Because you are Mine, I hold you. If you accept Me as yours, I'll save you. Always and forever, My Children, Because you're Mine and I love you. Because I see you when you believe no one does. I always see you. I will always love you. A poem I thought of seeing a man walk down a street in Santa Fe. |
