This is my book of poetry that I hope to eventually publish with photos. |
I had to use the words: Tamale, Acupuncture, and Cerrillos Road and it had to be a poem about something that turns you on...I did all that but I still didn't win. I won the nonfiction contest though! Hot Tamale!! I’m going out tonight! If everything works out, if everything goes right, If fate smiles down on me, I’ll go home with someone new. The bar is only a mile away, I have to get ready, and I know what to do. Hot Tamale!! Gross, Look at my hair! It normally looks better, I cut it this short on a dare. If only my acupuncture would kick in, I’m feeling a little ill. This little dress should work for me, tonight I’m dressed to kill. Hot Tamale!! Red is definitely my color! I look good! If he keeps staring at me like that I’ll never make it to the club. I never thought cab drivers were so cute, his accent makes me giggle. Pull over on Cerrillos Road, cabby! It’s time for a little tickle. Hot Tamale!! This seat fits two! I hope no one notices the cab rocking. Oh no, here it comes! Yes! Yes! Is someone honking? Oh! Sorry officer, I didn’t realize this was illegal! Oh, no, I’m going to the club now officer, if you’ll only let us go. Hot Tamale!! These handcuffs are pretty tight! Passerby’s are looking at me standing in the police spotlight. The cab driver has a silly smile, stupid man! Stupid me! Caught having sex in a cab’s back seat, oh gee! Hot Tamale!! There’s the club I’m supposed to be at now, There’s the good-looking man I’m supposed to wow! Wait a minute! How strange! Hold on! The backseat and the handcuffs are really turning me on!!!! |
