Lovely Reminiscences
I spoke to my grandmother
Skin loose and rippled
Brown with the dirt of life
Herald in the sun
And as the visit came to a closed
I saw the image of a time frozen
Embedded in colorless light
A sky of gray
A man in white
Clash and contrast with the nature of his color
His smile bright as his eyes round
His lips parted but not making a sound
As dust rose about him and stood still
Only fell when the paper began to peel
His image distorted by grid-lined holes
His smile twisted with the mechanism
Of repetitious, overzealous, life bringers
And I saw my grandmother sigh over the picture
Of the man she rarely mentions in her days
But the memory she has of him is not a daze
Cause, as the days go on and pictures fade
The truth in the memory will always stay

To understand my words, you must first understand my mind. Balik737
