Well, we got a tad bit of frost this morning. I kicked it shuffling through the grass onto my shoes. The sweet potatoes were nipped. They don't tolerate much, but everything else looks okay. The forecast is for fairly mild and pleasant weather. The trees are turning s l o w l y. Son-of-petunia for R He stands there in his flannel jacket, orange feather in his hat. It's Halloween and a chess game beckons. And off he wanders in his red-green plaid, tamping tobacco, that son-of-petunia, into a foot-long pipe.
