November 11, 2007: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert, Verizon Center, Washington, DC. Let the countdown begin! I don't need to tell you how totally pumped I am for this major event. They interviewed Bruce recently in Rolling Stone. You know how most entertainer interviews have them come across as inarticulate and more than a little shallow? Not so Bruce interviews. He's articulate, intelligent, and thoughtful - and a lot of what he says about writing songs can as easily be applied to poetry or prose writing. I can't find the bloody thing online, which I suppose is some pinko commie plot to get people to actually PAY for an issue of Rolling Stone. Worth it. So in honor of the upcoming concert, I decided to open up a forum for people to discuss the greatness that is Bruce.
Come on in - casual fans are as welcome as apostles like me I hear the guitars ringin' out Ringin' out down Union Street I hear the lead singer shoutin' out, girl I wanna be a slave to the beat Yeah, tonight I wanna break my chains Somebody break my heart Somebody shake my brains Downtown there's something that I wanna hear There's a sound, little girl, keeps ringing in my ear I wanna be where the bands are I wanna be where the bands are Where the bands are I wanna be where the bands are |
