If you don't have a dream, how are you going to make a dream come true?

It's been a while since I seriously blogged here, and I think it's for two reasons:

1. I don't particularly like blogging. I think I prefer journaling, really.

2. I don't really have a job. Sure, I run my own magazine, but I don't make any money from it...

I have a dilemma now. My sis and I were all set to go out to an acoustic show an hour's drive away tonight, but now I see that a punk band is playing in the very town I live in! I'm starting to really want to go to the punk band's show. It may very well be the first punk band to play at that club, and I'd like to show my support for them.

Plus it's a choice between going out to see a band we've seen about a hundred times and meeting a new band.

I'll have to see which Ivy feels like seeing tonight, though. She's the one who had a bad cold this week and needs the show to get back into things. Plus, we didn't get to celebrate our birthday yet!

I can't help it... when the decision is between an acoustic show and a punk show, I want the punk show. That's the difference between Ivy and me - she prefers acoustic shows, I think. I like that about us. I like that we differ on music styles a little, so we end up covering a lot in our magazine.

Speaking of which, our latest featured band is A Utopian Skyline, one of our absolute faves! Check 'em out - http://www.myspace.com/autopianskyline

...I mean, I think it would be a good idea to stick close to home tonight, in case Ivy's cold comes back or we get really tired or something... it'd be easier to go home... *Laugh*
