My first twenty hours on the West Coast have been kind of painful. Period started twenty minutes into the (delayed) seven-hour cross-country flight; baggage carousel got switched at the last minute; temperature in Northern California is thirty degrees lower than in the District.

Anyone live close enough to come visit me? I'm cold, lonely and bitchy. Which, I know, makes my company sound really appealing.
