Rose's hips

After petals fall,
her sepals blaze white stars
5 compass point lapels
above tumescent hips,
among quiescent thorns.

After blooms have gone,
my lips await her acid juice
her fragrant tea, the memory
of spring and crimson Rose.

When green hips swell
to waxy balls, ripen
orange and red, adorn
her thorns come winter's snow
I wait for autumn's end.

No, this is not about AL and not about pineapple, either.

ME:

My nerves are better. My therapist thinks it's a good sign, especially if I let it happen and then get through it (good for dealing with trauma). I'll have to remember that next time. I know how to manage depression without pills, so it is only a matter of learning how to cope with shaking. Could be physical too, so I'll need to be vigilant.

Anyone want to host a poet? I need to seriously consider that idea. I would love to travel, but finances are tight. That's the whole idea behind couchsurfing.com. There is no reason why anyone there or here at WdC should trust me though. You know, all those beware-the-internet scare tactics. I've only spoken with a few people and only visited with susanL and Startiara . Not much to go on! Maybe I should get a WdC passport and have it stamped each time I visit someone! Fill it up with WdC-visas so to speak.

I am serious ... I need to travel. I spoke with a friend and I'm putting stuff in storage on Sunday. I could leave Monday if I chose. Since living in Emporia isn't happening quite yet, my first choice is Montana. But ... I have friends in Ontario (and now I have a passport) and just about anywhere it is cool is fair game. I'd rather not do over 90; south is better after September or October (otherwise I'd be begging to be in Oklahoma). Even realized it would be okay to go to Costa Rica. My key months to be in Montana are September, October and November (July and August are now optional).
