The Warrior's Last Prayer (In Haiku)
They all come for me
mobbed so my eyes may not judge
Lord deliver me

I, your servant, plead
A humble heart I carry
I am on my knees

I smell evil near
rising over the hilltops
the wind brings my fear

If this be my end
Let it be with honor's cloak
to hide shameful sins

My mother will weep
My father bows with disgrace
My men are lost sheep

Be with me always
Oh lord, I lift up my soul
forgive me, I pray

Judge not my dark days
Upon this earth evil bounds
All will pass away

My sword will make peace
My heart will show true valour
My Lord's Will be pleased

Today I redeem
Blood for blood, my sins washed clean
Off steel the sun gleams

To understand my words, you must understand my mind. To understand my mind, you must first understand my words. Balik737
