Metrosexual rebirth Born twice to women, once as a man, I try to reconcile the yin, the yang of all existence, mine too fragile to examine close, I withdraw to the edge with a daily dose of pills to overwhelm nerves, to deaden their nerve to shake me, make me, choose between sexual morphs of a minor specie of monkey acting like gods aping intelligence that can't except singularity: I, me, mine and me myself, the yin yang of duality I envision as one, my self. © 2008 Kåre Enga [165.188] 2008-08-07 The term metrosexual does not seem to have a clearly defined meaning; but, I think of it as referring to the androgenous gender bending that Gen Y men practice in a way that goes beyond where Gen X or the Boomers ventured. Men are no longer bound to traditional narrowly defined gender roles. ME: I went to hear David Sirota who wrote Uprising. He brings up the issue of change. His premise is that change comes from below, not from Washington and that change comes slow. He has great insight into the political landscape and populist movements. I did accomplish something: I switched my voting registration to Montana today. Also, I managed to get to Caras Park and had a buffalo empanada. Nice crowd, but not as many as at lunch yesterday. I also had a lavender shortbread earlier. I'm slowly working my way through the local menu. The heavens just opened up. Rain! And thunder ... hopefully no fires.
