Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
Guy in the green shirt In his long narrow face, I embrace Modigliani, take a series of photos, sketch portraits, fake paintings. His dark hair, his fair skin, that clean slate of youth, beaming pulp fiction. In truth, I don't ask his name. This story grows old; it's always the same: ideas, the way to achieve them, accolades proffered when talent bursts into bloom, then bows in fruition. Yet intuition tells me those twigs remain brittle and barren to break with the dawn, with the dispelling breeze when those cruel wisps of dreams, circling his visage, fade as he gets up and leaves. © 2008 Kåre Enga [165.227] 2008-08-27 Okay now ... there was this young guy with a long thin face at The Break.
