Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
Results of Sushi Contest #1: #3, #4, #7, #8, #13, #17. The runner up: #9 Silent in flight, a great grey owl sails across the meadow grass. The winner: #1 Orange streaked blue sets south by southwest; summer's song's now autumn's cool. I can only laugh! I didn't think either of these were the best, but my readers have spoken! So what is the Sushi contest all about? Every Wednesday at 5 p.m. I join the line out in front of Sushihana for dollar sushi night. So every Wednesday I will hand out a 'zine with 8 poems. Now ... the poems have to be very very small, because this micro 'zine will be only 2 1/8" x 2 3/4 (or 5.4 cm x 7 cm) or possibly smaller (4.5 cm x 5 cm) depending on whether I use standard 8 1/2" x 11" paper or legal size and how I set it up and cut it. Think of a business card folded in half. It will be about the size of a single serving of sushi. I want to do this for 8 weeks, then reassess. I figure I can do an on-line contest once a week. Probably on a Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully get more than 6 votes. But ... all votes are precious. A hug and a thank-you to all who participated. 7783 |
