Dee Election: Obviously, only Americans can vote for prez, but that doesn't mean that the rest of the World doesn't have an opinion. Bush, for instance may have won in 2000 and 2004, but he was not popular in much of Western Europe and certainly not Quebec where his approval rating was 11%. This election is being followed worldwide as well. The final line about McCain being 'branded' has a certain ring of truth to it. Obama, Biden and Palin are branded too, of course. American politics, like all its other commercial products, demands a name brand. Generic refers only to secretaries and staff (who do all the real work). ME: I give up. I'm overwhelmed, so Sushi.5 will have to wait till next week. These coupla days will be best spent preparing for winter. There are plums to harvest, geraniums to get inside. Snow is in the forecast for Friday, with 20s at night over the weekend. When the clouds clear up, the mountain peaks will be white.
