I don’t mind being sixty-one,
I won’t mind being sixty-two,
the fact of the matter
is that women age like fine wine
their good qualities increasing over time
so I don’t mind
increasing age or maturity;
what I do mind
is some young whippersnapper
stopping in a parking lot
when I’m getting out of a car
and asking me for gas money
for his brand new sports car
because I remind him of his mother or grandmother
and older women always give him what he wants.
