Post 2: Most difficult goal
2
Pick your most difficult personal goal. You've heard the expression, "strike while the iron is hot", right? Choose your most difficult goal while your excitement and commitment is at its peak. Anyway, so pick a personal goal, and break it down into something that is attainable over a month. Towards the end of the month we'll explore how to keep up this goal throughout the year or life (depending on the type of goal). Please post here in the forum to let us know when you have completed posts one and two! Try to get these done by Jan 5th!
For those who don't know a lot about goal setting, here's a very brief recap.
A goal should follow the 5W and H.
WHO
WHAT
WHEN
WHERE
WHY
HOW
WHO is doing the goal? Should be you...easy enough. lol
WHAT is the goal? Are you wanting to lose five pounds? Are you wanting to clean the clutter in your house?
WHEN should this be accomplished by? Deadlines are important to keep us from procrastinating FOREVER.
WHERE am I working on this goal? May not always be applicable, but can usually apply to physical place or a certain time of day/week.
WHY am I setting this goal? or WHY is it important to me? Self-explanatory. We have to be setting a goal for the right reasons, and it also needs to be important to us, or else, why bother?
HOW am I going to accomplish this goal? That's right...an action plan. What steps are you going to take to ensure this is completed?
