Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
I made a separate item for my inauguration poem I posted in my blog 3 weeks ago: "Inauguration" We stood as stone When on the plains of Aroth they fought around us, we stood as stone, peered down to where green ichor flowed from godless ranks. We moaned: so silly to seek to rule these graveyards. We stood still until the soil reclaimed them. All-the-same, old stones move slow. We roamed among their rubble then, their crumbling cities, bold towers proclaiming fame. I no longer remember their name. Do you dear friend? We were the only witnesses to the end of all they claimed. I knew then we'd always be together; that, that pain and loneliness we shared would last eternities. Oh, Zmitri, remember how we stood as stone, until we too became as stardust scattered among their bones. © 2009 Kåre Enga [165.415.ZM] 2009-01-20 If I can put enough together ... perhaps my booklet can come out by end of February. Zo, I zketch Zmitri poems. Truly ... I write whatever is on my mind. BLAH BLAH BLAH: #$%^&* INVERSION! Ah ... feel better now. The grey skies did part by 4 pm and I went for a walk along the river taking pics of Mts. Jumbo and Sentinel and other stuff. I was at Butterfly Herbs talking to Kathy when this celestial event occurred. I told everyone there was this bright shiny yellow thing in the sky! So ... anyhoo, Kathy moved to Missoula around the same time I did. She thinks this will be a good place for her creatively. She draws and writes and is working on illustrations for a dragon story her daughter wrote. Funny how creative people end up here. Sun-lovers, however, usually leave for the winter. PROMPT OF THE DAY: "If pimples had pupils, would scalpels have scruples? A silly thought of mine!
