thoughts on Love 101 1 Remember to write and to call. Say only what's true at the core or say nothing at all. 2 Hold fast to those who're in pain who after they've lost all they had still smile and banish the rain, 3 Let thy actions speak louder than words for in chaotic cacophonous times, they'll always be welcomed and heard. 4 Acknowledge both birth and the grave. Between be a lover or friend, be true to your heart, not a slave. © 2009 Kåre Enga [165.441] 2009-02-11 Love 101 was the prompt ... but who was it from here at WDC who suggested it? Anyone know? BLAH Blaah blaaah: I will try to take care of myself today, I promise. I was slightly ill yesterday and mostly stayed home (skipped writing group ), only getting out to buy bread, get some fresh air, a coffee at Bernice's. Today, I may as well read. Although, Bernice's has heart shaped hazelnut-red jelly Linzer cookies that are one of my favorites. A link: http://www.joyofbaking.com/LinzerTorte.html I may end up stuck inside today; although, the sun is out. So I'll listen to this old western song and imagine other times and places. Eddy Arnold's "The Cattle Call": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbPcH5caOJU&feature=related NOT GOOD GNU'S: The plane crash in Clarence, New York un-nerves me because: I grew up by that airport, my sister (just west) and mother (north) still live near, I know people in Clarence, it wouldn't surprise me if I know someone who died (albeit a slim chance). I told Fivesixer to not watch the news ... but he turned on the tv before going to bed (not a smart thing, Bert). He lives close to the airport too (south). When I was in college in Kansas there was a crash on the street behind a friend's home in Cheektowaga. Family of friends saw the plane go down. It was even on the news in Kansas! I was frantic calling home to make sure they were okay. BLOGVILLE I never quite become accustomed to the ebb and flow around here. Blog-Reading was definitely off yesterday although I myself read many many entries. Over time it evens out, but when I get down I wonder whether it is worth the effort to be supportive. Then I get over it. So go read yesterday's entry! Montana: 18º at 9:00 11,902 |
