It was a private party, very informal, and they loved me. They were all singing along to a lot of the songs, and they asked me to stay an extra two hours, which I quickly negotiated a new price for and agreed to. Although, after two hours playing Potbelly at lunch, and then five hours playing this private party last night, I thought my fingertips were going to fall off. In other news, I told the owner of the studio where I teach lessons that if she ever wants to sell her business, she should let me know. She said, "Really?" I explained that I was saving to leave Abbott, and that I would love an investment opportunity. She said, "I'll think about it." I could tell by the look on her face that she was dead serious. She's had a lot of heartache in the last year or two, and I think she just wants out at this point. |
