Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
Short and sweet and sour Too busy to enter poetic sketches, so none today. I'm not totally ready for the Costa Rican trip. I have my list... and it gets longer as I remember stuff not-to-forget. Earlier I wrote an entry on the Rainbow Lounge raid which occurred yesterday in Fort Worth. But decided that instead of posting it here, I'd make it a separate entry in my Watt's Gnus blog: "Gay bar in Texas raided 40 years to the date of Stonewall" Basically, 40 years-to-the-day, the police conducted a raid that brings back memories of Stonewall. This could explode into a major news event or fade... Stonewall erupted in days of riots in 1969. An on-line article: http://ontopmag.com/article.aspx?id=4100&MediaType=1&Category=26 I finally used Skype! Got to speak/see todirsa in Alberta. We live only one national border apart. He explained how I need to sit back a bit or the audio gets distorted. These are good things to know. I'm pink... as in too much sun yesterday without my shirt. Better be manageable by Wednesday! I thought... ...it would be good to get a tan. Pink is not tan. My muscles in my shoulders/back have tensed up so I didn't sleep well either. I did nap a tad in a chair. Where are readers when you need them? My poem "First drum set" is stuck on 999 views. It just needs one-little-peek... {e:pout} Yesterday in Butterfly Herbs, I spoke to a woman with a cane. She said she didn't speak English. So I tried Spanish. Had a nice conversation with her daughter, friend and grandson. Melba Zamorra Zamorra is from near Puntarenas... yep. She's Costa Rican. We had a wonderful time laughing. She'll be here while I'm there. Montana: A sunny pleasant 66° at 10 a.m. in Missoula. Costa Rica: A sunny morning and 86° at 10 a.m. in Puerto Limón. 15,823 |
