The Good Life. |
Launch one new Potbelly song per week. Goal met. Write one new original song per month. Pending. I do have new lyrics from Robert Waltz to set to music, as well as my instrumental piano piece I've been playing with for a month or two, which needs lyrics. Post at WordPress at least once per week. Goal met, and I've moved my posts to mid-week. I blogged on Tuesday this week, so I'll probably make that my regular day. Sunday is Keith time now. Write three Helium article by 6/24/09. Check this out! My Textbroker article impressed the client, and he messaged to ask if he could place direct orders with me routinely, like once every 2-3 days. For direct orders, I can set my own pricing! Sweet. I'm shooting for $10-$15 per article, if they're comparable length to the initial one I wrote for him. ...so, there's my goal. Helium can kiss my ass, with its $2.50 articles. Submit one short story/article per month. Fail. Work for fifteen minutes on "Poor Witch" [E] every day. Fail. Complete and edit "Poor Witch" [E] by 6/30/09. In progress. Read a book in print for fifteen minutes every day. Goal met. I so have to remember that I owe MaryLou a CD. I promised I would send her one in exchange for this box of books she sent me, and that was months ago! What a slacker. Resign from Abbott by 12/1/09. In progress, although, there are some interesting developments related to the boy, with whom I am getting along famously. Bottom line, I'm not quite sure exactly what this goal is, and by the end of August, I should have a better idea. Maybe I'll leave earlier, maybe later, maybe right on 12/1. Maybe I'll move to day shift. Maybe I'll leave Potbelly and start promoting myself for more lucrative evening gigs. Maybe, maybe, maybe... *rubs hands together* Seriously, I love my life. I wish I could squeeze more hours into a day, because there's so much more I'd like to do (case in point: refer to all the "Fail" references above!), but ultimately, I get to do a lot of fun stuff and make good money, which is more than many can say. I have no complaints, regardless of how this all turns out. ...well, few complaints, anyway. Honestly, even Abbott is getting more bearable, except that I need to go to day shift. Maintain a maximum weight of 150.0. Goal met. Keith and I are planning a beach vacation at the end of August. Should I shoot for another losing ten pounds? I'm considering it, and I got doctor approval.
