Longing

Inspired by theoldwolf's similarly titled poem "Invalid Item" 

Learning to love unconditionally, swallowing the
Overwhelming fear of his leaving, of
Never knowing, of always hoping, never
Giving voice to the mirroring despair you see
In his eyes sometimes as he turns to you
Nuzzling your neck, kissing your lips before
Going places he might never come back from.
