I have a brown-sugar glazed corned beast in the crock-pot hoping it will be done by 5:00 pm when friends come for dinner. I've changed the setting from low to high, re-arranged the veggies and added some port. I guess if all else fails it can go in the oven for a while. This is why you should never do a new recipe when guests are coming. But why would I do a roast beast for just David and I?

I have been off work for the past 3 days---and don't want to go back tomorrow.

I had a terrible day my last day----will blame it on the full moon. Got whacked in the face by a resident that I was trying to medicate. In all my years of nursing I've never been hit before---was pretty shocked.

This dementia unit needs lots of restructuring and leadership. Just hope I'm up for it!
