Still reading Spanish poets. Rosetti wrote some erotic verse that surprised me. But then again, Spain isn't as prudish as the Brits.

Thursday, I wrote the line "era otoño y martes" [it was autumn and Tuesday] on the board at the library. Erica had Virginia write the next line... me the third, Virginia the fourth, me the fifth...

Era otoño y martes
cuando yo te vi para la primera vez
y la segunda cuando salistes.
Mi cuerpo salió con un otro
pero mí corazón se quedó aquí.

[It was autumn and Tuesday
when I saw you for the first time
...and the second when you left.
My body left with another
but my heart stayed here]
