Dunsmore and MFA theses
Roger Dunsmore (Dillon, Montana) has wonderful poems about a friend dying of AIDS, tributes to his parents, understanding Native American perspective... I'm reading his book of poetry You're just dirt. Odd how any poem about AIDS seems dated these days. It's no longer the automatic death sentence it once was.
Went to an MFA theses reading tonight in the Dell Brown Room. Lehua, Liz and Megan did well. Tomorrow night? July, Molly and John at the Roxy.
I hid behind the dumbcane. Wrote a poem... of course.
Should be up to 40-53 poetic sketches as of today. I'm at 86. Had to retire my lime green notepad. I've started writing in "Minnesota Red". My journal writing seems to be about 7 pages/10 days. Not great, but not bad.
*snow* Weather has been chilly. Mix of rain, hail and snow. Apple-blossoms blooming though!
