Premium members and above may upload DOC and PDF files directly into their portfolio. Premium members may have up to 5 Document items, and Premium Plus members may have up to 100 Document items. Both of these file types provide writers with the most flexibility available in formatting their writing. PDFs and DOCs are also the best files for printing work, and are the formats most agents and publishers prefer to work with. You can find Document items to read, rate and review by clicking on Browse by Type in the left navigation menu, and clicking on Documents. Document items are created just like any other item type on Writing.Com. There are two methods for creating and saving Document items. You can click on either Portfolio/Create New Item or on Create New Item in the left navigation menu, and on the new page, scroll down and click on Document. Or you can go to your Portfolio and select Create Item just below your Portfolio tab, and click on Document in the drop menu. In either case, follow the instructions in the Create a New Document page.
