Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
ME: It's late. I think I know what and where I am going... Up before 7 so I can get to depot (which supposedly opens at 7:30 am) to buy ticket and leave by 8 am. 1. Missoula to Portland (6 pm-ish) 2. Portland (11-ish) to Redding (8 am-ish) 3. Redding-Weaverville-WillowCreek-Arcata-Eureka (6 pm-ish). Ish-ing. The alternative is to try to make the connection in Portland (6:10 arrival-bus leaves 6:15) and get into Eureka at 9:30 pm. (ish) My whole body is tightened up. May have to take a hot bath just to relax muscles. Anyhoo... I am looking forward to visiting Anabel and Richard and hope to meet Catherine and Noelani... My schedule is tight because I want to be in Washington by the evening of the 17th (means I leave on the 16th) as my sister wants us-all to go to pancake breakfast on the 18th and in the afternoon Celia will be in Redmond. She's in Seattle on the 19th. I'll visit my mother in Monroe from the 18th till the 21st or 22nd... go back to Missoula. Since my mother leaves the 13th of October, I'll probably return the 4th - 8th (easy-peasy trip). So... do I buy a one-month bus-pass for $440 or a two month for $540? Because... there's always Tulsa (Nimrod, Saturday, October 23rd) and Costa Rica seems doable Oct 9-17 or Nov-Dec 9, returning before Dec 25th or after Jan 21st on Taca through LAX or O'Hare. So many decisions... and I'm not good at making decisions. I know I should keep costs down, but my bank balance says I don't have to make life miserable for myself. 19,943 |
