Productive Day
This was a productive day.
I began by working on chapter 4 of my serial. There were 4 scenes and two were already drafted. As I was getting in gear the phone rang….it was Mark….

He wanted to know if he could borrow my flywheel puller. I hadn’t seen it in a while and wasn’t sure I could find it. So I went out and looked and found both; a large one and a small. He came over with the drive shaft off his Dodge truck. The bearing was sweated on and the large puller was not large enough. Not to be deterred we went to plan B which was the press. In order to press it out we had to put some 4by4s under the base. Eventually we got it off but there was no way we could get the new one on. That requires a special diameter piece of pipe large enough to slip over and small enough to seat the bearing….Needless to say I had no single piece of pipe with both properties. He called a shop and they had the required tool
.
After he left I took the dogs to breakfast at the “Red Hill.” Returning home I went and hooked up the splitter and went over to Joes to finish up the job there. I had already staged most of the equipment and set to work…I almost finished about noon
.
Went to Westfield and got a burger and came home and checked my computer. I had posted a poem yesterday in a contest and not expected to hear anything for a couple of weeks. I had a nice review from DR Smith. It was the best poetry review I had gotten in a long while and he gave me a list of things to consider which will really amp it up.

I worked on chapter 4 some more and around 4:30 PM went back to Joes and finished splitting and pulled the trailer home.
Mark came back over and borrowed the fire axe. (Acetylene torch.)

Came inside and got serious about the chapter and finished it around midnight… I’m tired. Goodnight
