Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
ME: Well, not being prepared sucks. I'm working on my fantasy world for "In the season of mountains weeping". Created a calender, a bit of a map, life-cycles and culture. It may help. I've begun on my characters as well. And I came up with another main conflict; so, so far it's all good. Except for the word count. That's stuck. But without some prep and someway of keeping track, I would get totally lost. The names are based on Salish phonology and since that language has interesting consonant clusters, no one is going to like that. Visual readers should be okay though. Yesterday... oh... saw the end of the football game as U Montana pull another last minute miracle. Much more exciting games this year than last. It helps to have a less dominating team. At 6-2 they should be in the playoffs if they win 2 out of 3 remaining games (@Weber State, North Dakota, Montana State). MSU being at home may be crucial. All 4 games in the Big Sky were close this time. Saw Nick over the week end... and Dustin, Shannon, Lorin, Carmen, Connie, Trent, Nathan, Lavinia, Jacob, Patrick... I'll need to leave town to just lower my chances of not seeing folks I know and want to talk to. The probability never reaches 00% though as Missoulians are everywhere you want them (or don't want them) to be. Nice long chat with Mandy last night as well. Good reading at Second Wind tonight. The change of venue is really helping. The Top Hat has much better acoustics and feels less grungy. Food: last market was yesterday. Bought parsnips, beef tongue, strawberry-rhubarb pie, a latte, shallots and one leek. Got a couple good photos. Later made a stew with pork, shallots, carrots, parsnips and leek-greens. Added spices and cornmeal to thicken. Very tasty. Today: coffee. I am still not having full days. ...oh well. Rainy and snow possible by Tuesday... Dear Autumn, it's been great. 20,347 |
