Letter's Back Home [1]
Mom:

What a difference Region Three is from home. I'm glad we decided to come here. Six may have more to do, but neither of us have ever been gamblers. I'm glad Bright Eyes talked me into coming here. The beaches here are beautiful, and we've made a habit of walking down the coast every morning. There aren't nearly as many fish bones lining the coast as there are back home. Instead, we've been finding treasures.

I don't think anything we've found is especially valuable, but it's fun to try to figure out what we've found and imagine where it came from. Most of it (I think) is colorful glass which has had the edges worn away by the sea and time. My fellow treasure hunter has a better imagination than I; especially since some of the pieces we've found are flexible and bendable.

I wish this vacation of ours could last forever. I'm excited about beginning our life together, but I'd like to keep our shared and separate responsibilities at bay for longer. I doubt much will be different when we get back. We've lived together for a few years now, so it's not like we have to worry about that transition. I guess it kind of robs us of the full marriage experience, but at least there won't be any unpleasant surprises.

We're going out tonight for dinner and a show. I'm not sure what play it is, but the restaurant overlooks the beach. I'm looking forward to seeing the full moon reflected in the calm black waters. I hope we get a good table, if need be Bright Eyes will do some flirting--I hope it doesn't come to that though!
